Gregory Bennett is currently Head of Department for Digital Design and Visual Arts at the School of Art & Design at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. His academic teaching and research include collaborative work on Virtual Reality projects in science, heritage and health. He is also a digital artist who works with 3D animation, motion capture, and interactive and immersive technologies. He has exhibited internationally in New Zealand, Australia, the USA, and Europe, including ISEA, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Supernova, Currents, AA|LA Gallery, Centre for Contemporary Photography, and his work is represented in both public and private collections.
Jan Kruse is a Senior Lecturer in Visual Effects and Game Design in the Digital Design Department at AUT University. His industry portfolio includes work on high profile projects such as Lord Of The Rings, King Kong, X-Men and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.
He works on a number of high-profile research projects including a $1M collaborative two-year venture looking at improving eye disease diagnostics and patient communication fully funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) in New Zealand.
Katarina Markovic is an award winning CGI Generalist, 3D Modeller, and CGI Landscape Artist. She completed her Master of Design at Auckland University of Technology in 2018, a practice based study: Authenticity in digital surrogates. Workflow development for generating an authentic digital surrogate for heritage conservation , and is currently undertaking her PhD.
Ethan Harris is a current Master of Design student at Auckland University of Technology, and is a student research assistant on ‘Virtual Eye’ research project.
